Overview

Family engagement in a child’s education has been shown to exponentially improve their chances for success. Safe Passages has established centers that provide resources to children and parents alike that foster strong connections between school community, families, students, and school staff.

Who We Serve

Safe Passages established family resource centers (FRCs) in many schools throughout Alameda County, and is currently developing FRCs in Alternative Education schools with the help of an AmeriCorps VISTA grant.

Our Goals

Improve student outcomes, increase parent attendance at school functions, aid families with individual obstacles to student success, and help school communities thrive.
